Battlefield 4 banned in China, The Ministry Of Culture Deems It A Threat To China’s National Security
The Ministry Of Culture in China has banned Battlefield 4 due to content that is allegedly a threat to China’s national security. This decision won’t impact EA significantly considering it doesn’t sell Battlefield 4 directly in China. This ban came after the release of the Battlefield 4 DLC, China Rising. China removed its ban on video game consoles three months ago by creating a free trade zone in Shanghai. China has a long history of censorship with regards to internet content and international imports. However, China shouldn’t ignore the growing and thriving video game community it contains.
