Good news for Nintendo fans and Square Enix fans alike. If you had any doubts that the Nintendo NX will be losing out on the third party support that the PS4 & Xbox One receive, you can put your worries to rest, at least with Square Enix. According to a recent interview with Dragon Quest creator Yuji Horii on Japanese video game news site Gematsu, the latest installment in the Dragon Quest series, Dragon Quest XI will be heading to the Nintendo NX along with the PS4 & Nintendo 3DS.
“The 11th installment in the series will be released simultaneously on Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation 4, and including NX it’s coming out on three platforms, right,” Yuji Horii was asked.
“That’s right. The use of hardware is different for each system, so it’s quite a challenge,” Yuji Horii said. Hopefully this means that major Square Enix such titles such as the Final Fantasy VII (Remake) and Kingdom Hearts 3 will be heading the Nintendo NX as well.
